A.I.R Programme 2021

Next call for applications will be announced in early January 2020. The application form will from then on be available to download and guidelines with all you need to know can be read here. The deadline is March 15th 2020.

Eligibility criteria

Professional visual artists, designers, architects and independent curators
are eligible to apply. Artists working in groups may apply together in a joint application.

The selection is based on artistic merits and the quality of artistic practice. Applicants from outside the Nordic region are expected to master the English language. The program is not available for students.

Short about residency

The residency at the Nordic Artists’ Centre includes a monthly grant of 10.000 NOK, living and working space, as well as support of travel expenses up to 5.000 NOK, which will be reimbursed on arrival.

Residency periods are 2 – 4 months all year.

The centre has five private residencies of various sizes for the selected artists, and five identical north-lit studios, each 50 m².
Artists’ houses are fully equipped, and provided with wireless internet access.

Applicants of AIR 2020: Selected artists will be notified after the selection process is finished. The names of selected artists will be published on our website, end of September latest.
